I was born and raised in San Diego County, attending local schools before graduating from San Diego State University. When I got my real estate license in 1983, I had parents in both real estate sales and appraising, trying both fields out initially but opting to appraise for several years. This experience enhanced my background when I made the switch to sales after an old friend suggested I join his brokerage. I did, and haven't looked back!! This profession has its ups and downs, but overall it's allowed me to help people buy and sell their homes and properties, something I enjoy very much and as it's rewarding in so many ways. Being a Realtor has allowed me the time and means to play rugby in my younger years and travel the world. Now that I have two teenage boys, I spend a lot more time at home, championing them in their endeavors, having coached them in rugby, soccer, and baseball when they were younger; now supporting one in school and the other as he adjusts to the "real world," I'll play golf on occasion, travel, enjoy professional sports, craft beers and local wines, and keeping involved in my community, including the Lakeside Chamber of Commerce (Director and past-Chairman), my local and state Associations of Realtors (PSAR and CAR), and notably for so many, chairing Oktoberfest in El Cajon for 26 years, and counting! What I love about real estate is guiding buyers and sellers, especially first-time buyers, through the process, negotiating the terms and conditions, advising them on what to do prior to selling, helping buyers get prequalified and to find the perfect hom, and ensuring everyone is comfortable with each transaction. Through the years, I keep in touch with many of my past and current clients, as one of the things I enjoy most about this profession is meeting people and making new friends! I'm still enjoying it, and would love to share that passion with you, too, when it comes time to buy or sell real estate!
